Better now than five or six months down the road, I guess. I don't know really what to say about it. There is nothing I can say, except that it must not be meant to be (and I know so well that those words hold no comforting). Yes, she returned the ring and broke poor Jon's heart. Damn her...BIATCH!!!

Really, I am not trying to make this humorous. It is sad and I feel bad for him and his heart is broken. I have been there and it hurts. One day he will probably thank her for doing this and not ruining his life, especially if she had doubts. It just wouldn't of worked.
You are right. Poor Jon, that was a big step for him. I imagine it will be very hard for him to trust a woman again. Maybe he won't take it out on his new girlfriends. I will be praying for him.
What happened? Why would she accept and them break it off. Poor Jon.
Ging-I am not really sure what happened and I don't think he is either. Not only did she break off the wedding but also broke up with him. I think she obviously needs to grow up a little b/c marriage or engagement is not a joke or something to be taken lightly, but on the other hand, it is better to do it now.
Chris- I am hoping the same thing. We do seem to take out our bad past relationships on the new people we meet. It is very hard to separate the past from the present in that aspect.
oh my gosh!! you're right though, better to do it now than later. but that doesn't take away from how bitchy it was of her. she shouldn't have accepted in the first place!!
poooor jon! that really sucks. heart ache is the worst kind.
