Choices
Hey, sorry I haven't posted in a long time. I have a major decision to make. I tried to give my 2 weeks notice at work because I am wanting to go back to school to get my master's degree and when I did they offered me a very very nice raise. Now I am totally confused. The money would really be nice and make a huge difference, but I am scared I will be staying for the wrong reasons. If I quit my job I will also have to move two hours away from here which is also a big risk being that I don't have another job in the town where I will be going to grad. school. I have to decide by Friday. Help!!! I am totally stumped on what to do and scared to make the wrong decision.

Wow, that's a tough one! I guess if you can see yourself working where you are now for a good while longer and enjoying it, I would stay. However, if you are looking for advancement (A master's is GREAT to have ) then I would move on. Staying will only make it harder to leave in the future, and they may not give you a raise next time... then you would be starting over from scratch when you could be finished.
Still, tough tough choice!

Ooooo...I feel you. I just told my boss I was applying for another job. I wanted to be honest, and I figured he might make an offer to keep me here. Well, he didn't! So you are lucky that you had a counter offer made. If you have any doubts about your wanting to leave, think it over. If you are fairly sure that going back to school would be more lucrative, then consider it if you can afford it. It's really all about what YOU want...and what is best for you and Maddaxx.
I am very happy for you although I do not want to see you go. I am glad you are doing something that will make you happy. I will miss you and Maddax so much. You are my bestest friend and the only friend I think I could live with for a long period of time. I have had so much fun this past month with y'all here. I wish you the very best on your new journey my friend. I will be here if you need anything, always. :)

Hey, sorry for the late update. I first decided to stay and take the money, but after a long weekend of really thinking it over, I chose to move and go back to school to get my masters. I am moving to Little Rock this weekend. I am excited and nervous. It will be a big change for Maddax and me, but we are looking forward to it. I will miss all of my Jonesboro friends, especially Chris, of course. I don't know what I would do without her and I am going to miss her dearly. No more three hour trips to wal-mart!!! :( or drives down Huntington (ha! ha!) I will keep you guys filled in on how it goes. I have a lot of packing to do so I need to go and get started on that. Thanks for your input.
